Reclusive copper heiress leaves $38 million to nurse
Reports are that the reclusive copper heiress who for the past years have been ailing and living at a New York City hospitals has left almost all of her $400 million fortune to a nurse who was randomly assigned to care for her 20 years ago and charity.
The reports from New York Post are that the heiress did not leave a cent to her family members for some reason or the other. The better portion of her fortune would go to foundation to deals the arts and $38 million to the nurse at the hospital. She also left her some dolls which are said to be worth millions extra. Clark, was 104 when she died.
Clark, who died last month at 104, shared the rest of her assets among her lawyer, her accountant, a doctor and a goddaughter. Authorities are also investigating whether the lawyer, persuaded the woman in how to inappropriately handle the money.
For the most part nurse, Peri said that she will definitely value her inheritance in tribute of her friendship with Clark--and will as well be giving a portion of it away, in emulation of Clark's own will. She said "I saw Madame Clark virtually every day for the 20 years. I was her private duty nurse but also her close friend. I knew her as a kind and generous person, with whom I shared many wonderful moments and whom I loved very much.”
