Director : Indra Kumar

Cast : Sanjay Dutt,Mallika Sherawat, Kangna Ranaut, Satish Kaushik, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Ritesh Deshmukh, Aashish Chaudhary

Rating:**1/2

Day one Collection : 7.65 Cr
1st week collection :25.50 Cr

Indra Kumar’s latest excursion ‘Double Dhamaal,’ a sequel to the maiden film ‘Dhamaal (2007),’ doesn’t churn out to be a better endeavor than the four year old prequel.

The pleasures of 'Double Dhamaal’ bubble up when the gangster Satish Kaushik’s character offers comic strips in his delectably funny way.
‘Double Dhamaal’ is funny, stupid and delivers all the laughs but the film oversteps when the story doesn’t try to flow and blend along with the comedy.

StorylineFour friends Adi (Arshad Warsi), Roy (Ritesh Deshmukh), Manav (Javed Jaffrey), and Adi (Arshad Warsi) are waiting to make easy money and get to see the cop turned conman living the life of luxury like a business man.

Kabir is enjoying his life and has loads of money and the company of two women, his arm candy (Sherawat) and his sister Kiya (Ranaut).

The four get irritated looking at his wealthy lifestyle. They hatch up a plan to deceive him by getting into his business. Kabir sells the government land to Batabhai (Kaushik) a gangster, who wants a change in his career. Kabir puts these four in charge of the business deal with the gangster.

After the four help him by getting 250 crores, Kabir escapes with the money and settles in Macau. After finding out that Kabir is living there and owns a casino, the four decide to take revenge by disguising themselves.

Bollywood Movie Review: Shaitan| Shitan Movie Review and Official Trailer

Cast: Rajit Kapoor, Rajeev Khandelwal, Kalki Koechlin, Pawan Malhotra, Shiv Pandit, Gulshan Devaiya, Neil Bhoopalam, Kirti Kulhari

Directed by Bejoy Nambiar

Rating: **1/2

The film introduces 5 friends, Amrita/ Amy (Kalki Koechlin), Dushyant/ Dash (Shiv Pandit), Zubin (Neil Bhoopalam), Karan/ KC (Gulshan Devaiya) and Tanya Sharma (Kirti Kulhari). Apart from Dash, who works at a coffee shop, the rest belong to affluent families. So, like most rich and rotten teens their age, they party on yachts, get sloshed in fancy swimming pools, go cruising about town in Hummers and indulge in all those things you saw them doing in the promos.
Now a peculiar thing to note, which will be the cause of most unforeseen events in this film, is an unexplained and often misplaced flight of fury over the most trivial things. So, a guy is seen chatting up with Tanya and KC races to the scene and punches his face to pulp. KC loves Tanya? KC is protective? KC is seen kissing another girl in the very next scene! So, KC loves thrashing up people for fun?

Easy day out with Cath Kidston

Hi guys,

It was a bit sunny today and I had a lovely day out. I went out for lunch and for a stroll down the park with my new Cath Kidston Meadow Tote Bag, which was kindly send to me by Cath Kidston.

Very sweet, romantic and quintessentially English, I think this bag will be ideal for the Summer. I was surprised when I received the parcel because I was not expecting something so big. This is a huge tote, which can either be used for a day out or as travelling or picnic bag. It's also good as a second bag, for when you have to carry loads of stuff around. The bag is very sturdy, with Teflon coating which makes this bag extra tough.

Although this is a big bag, it's easy and comfortable to be worn on the shoulder, but it's also an open bag -and I am so used to carry my bags on my forearm- so for security reasons I would prefer to carry the bag that way. There are a couple of pockets inside, which makes easier to find the important bits.

I felt all romantic and inspired by this tote. Today's outfit which is a mixture of pastel colours, I am loving this colours for summer too!

You can also change the bag shape, by pushing the sides in and closing the top, with a small popper, this way the bag becomes square and roomy enough to carry all your bits and bobs for that stylish picnic!

I was wearing: Bag: Cath Kidston, Sunglasses: Alexander McQueen, Jacket: Aloe, Cardigan: Zara, Top: from Portobello Market, Jeans: Topshop, Hat + Belt: Jigsaw, Shoes: from Brazil.

I have also just started posting my pictures on Lookbook. Does anyone know how do I post them on the blog?
See you soon.

Hindi movie Review | Ready: Movie review | ratting 3.5* by My 24News

Cast: Salman Khan, Asin, Arya Babbar, Paresh Rawal, Puneet Issar, Mahesh Manjrekar

Directed by Anees Bazmee

Rating:***1/2 by My 24News

Whistle-blowers rejoice! Salman is back and this time he's ditched his belt to fiddle inside his pant pockets (read: Dhinka Chika, in case you don't have a television set at home). The thing with Salman's films is that they're in a genre of their own. A genre that cannot be graded for the story, screenplay, performances or any other metric used to evaluate other films. They can just be enjoyed or suffered, depending upon the elasticity of your tolerance. I hope you would consider this vague disclaimer before reading this review and before going to watch this monsoon musical.

But you're on this page hoping to get an idea about this film, so let's get down to business. The film is about a spoilt brat called Prem (the 14th time Salman has used this as a screen name) and his annoyingly happy family. Prem's daddy, Rajveer Kapoor (Mahesh Manjrekar) has the memory of a goldfish and he constantly portrays his disability by making vulgar physical and oral gestures to describe anything he can't re-collect. Prem also has two uncles and aunts who live together with them in their sprawling mansion spanning across Thailand, Sri Lanka and Filmcity, Goregaon. There's also a random elderly neighbour who is invariable lurking about at the Kapoor household (the only way to get into the frame?).

Anyway, the film becomes a pickled mess when a girl on the run, Sanjana (Asin) lands up at the Kapoor residence, in the guise of Prem's prospective bride. Predictably, she wins everyone's hearts with her clichéd tactics (morning bhajans, respect for elders, disrespect for Prem etc). Now, Sanjana has a dark past and even darker relations, comprising a bevy of assorted villains from the past and present who flaunt every wig in the costume box. Some of them include, Bade Mama (Sharad Saxena), Chote Mama (Akhilendra Mishra), Bade Dada (Puneet Issar) and few other non-descript Bollywood henchmen.

In Hindi films, if the good doesn't reign over evil, it can atleast trick evil into switching sides. So, the Kapoors devise the most ridiculous plan (not even worth mentioning here) to get the Chaudharys (Sanjana's uncles) to indulge in some soul cleansing, beginning with chopping off their 'chotis' (the root of all evil?).

After several songs, excessive hamming and dialogues like "Iska koi resort nahin. Isse acha hain ki aap resort book karlo" and "In that case, mere paas aaja mere suitcase", you just want to dhinka chika yourself out of the movie hall. But the movie refuses to end, as unnecessary confusions and complications pile up and you wonder if there's enough reel left to clear it all up. Luckily, your prayers are answered as this movie ends like a school play, with the dim-witted criminals realizing they've wronged and swearing to mend their ways. Sigh.

'Dhinka Chika' will surely win enough whistles and 'Character Dheela' will leave many gasping. But if you're expecting a laugh-a-thon, then you're in the wrong movie. Salman gives in his 10 percent and packages it off with 200 percent confidence and style. Asin could surely get a chance to dub for the next Chip 'n' Dale film, in case her acting career doesn't fall in place.

Chanel Mimosa

Hi guys,

A while back, I blogged about the new trend for this Summer, the yellow nail varnish. My only experience with yellow nail varnish goes way back to when I was very young, we're talking about the 80's which was the only time where 'different' coloured nail varnish was sold in Brazil and it was not for long anyway. So within that period I bought a couple of bottles, yellow and blue. The yellow, I can remember well, it was a canary yellow and it didn't look that nice, plus it was very difficult to apply.
Nowadays, we are spoiled for choice, even in Brazil the trend has caught again and now they also have some amazing colours and some great dupes too.

Anyways, the other day I was at the Chanel counter and saw a sample for Mimosa, I applied just a little bit and looked quite nice and shimmery. I contemplated that 'dot' of nail varnish for the whole weekend and the more I looked at it the more curious I got about it. So, I only had one way to answer all my questions about yellow nail varnishes and so I gave myself a full manicure at the Chanel counter.
I know it's terribly cheeky but I really wanted to know things like, was the texture good? Was it easy to apply? How many coats would I need? And ultimately how would it look? I have bought 2 nail varnishes from Chanel, Particuliere and Nouvelle Vague and I find the latter a real difficulty to apply. So this time, I'm keeping my £17 in my pocket until I try the stuff and then I can make my mind up about it.

(Sorry for the bad manicure and mobile picture)

Nothing has changed much in the yellow nail varnish field I guess. The shimmer is there but only when you apply the first coat and then it fades away as more coats get put on and you still need 3 coats in order for it to look good.
The colour is very nice though, even on my pale skin it didn't look bad. Almost a lemony yellow although I could say it also looks like a light mustard.
The application is streaky but it seams to dry quickly in between coats, Nouvelle vague just doesn't.

Verdict: It was great to try but I'm not going to buy, I like this colour very much but I'm not mad about it and I'm not skillful enough to apply such a hard colour anyway. If I know that I am going to make loads of mistakes and wipe my nails off a few times, I rather do that with a cheaper nail varnish.

I could be eating my words soon (I know myself) but for now, what are your thoughts on Chanel Mimosa and yellow nail varnishes? Will you give it a go?

See you soon.

You are the one that I want

Hello my lovely readers,

I hope you have been well. Today we have an outfit post as well as a review. I hope you enjoy it.

I have been searching for the 'perfect', most tight pair of skinny jeans ever, it's been a while. The inspiration that I had came from 'Grease' and I wanted a pair of jeans that would scream 'Sandy'.

Therefore, I was over the moon when Box Clothing, an upcoming online clothes shop, based in the UK contacted me to do a review. I really enjoyed their selection of clothing, all very modern with an urban feel. Box Clothing offers a great variety of well known brands and some really cool jeans too. As I wanted a pair for a while, I decided to try the Firetrap skinny jeans.

I must say, I am totally in love with them. They are exactly what I had in mind! Super tight, super skinny.
It's my first time wearing Firetrap and I am so impressed with their feel. The fabric is extremely soft, lovely to touch, you can feel the quality, therefore it feels very luxurious.

Size wise, I do find tricky to buy jeans online but those are true to their size. I am normally a waist 27 but being aware that those babies have 4% elastane, I went for a size smaller, I got the waist 26 and they could not have fit me better. They are actually more like jeggings, being quite stretchy and therefore very, very comfortable. The stitch is strong, contrasting in yellow, with nice details on the back pockets.

I also love their colour, they have a unique, almost vintage wash to them. Overall, I love them so much because they have just the right vintage look that I was after. Plus a low waist, thank God!

Price wise, I think they are very reasonable for their quality and fitting at £55.

My heart is locked

Hi guys,

Today an outfit, which I was wearing the other day. I don't wear black head to toe very often but I was feeling very monochrome, one of my ninja moments! Or maybe it's because I just wanted the star of the show to be my new Disney Couture necklace. This amazing Heart Lock necklace, for the Alice in Wonderland collection.

I totally fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. For me it's has a slightly punk appeal to it because it's a padlock, yet very romantic because it's a heart! Together with a few chains and a key, which is ohhh the cutest!

This fabulous necklace was also kindly sent to me, by Made in Wonderland. Thanks so much guys, I am really chuffed with this gorgeous gift! I have been wearing it now for days in a row and got loads of compliments.

That is why I love Disney Couture jewellery, it's so much fun, so cute and really get you noticed.

Thank you VERY much

Hi guys,

A very hot hello tonight, since the weather has been SO hot lately. I am not complaining but I am suffering loads trying to cover myself up and staying away from the sun.

Anyways, tonight I am posting my second review for Very.co.uk I have 2 great accessories which I have chosen and I am really, really delighted about them.

My first item is this fantastic skull scarf! Which I am terribly in love with. You guys know how much I love my skull scarves (I have a small collection developing, oops.) Anyhow, when I saw this one on the website , I knew it was going to be a great and wicked addition.

I also love my skulls to be different and original, I haven't seen any similar skulls to those before. The skull scarf is an ultra trendy and cool accessory which can be worn all seasons. It will surely be worn to death by me as I am a huge fan of the trend.

The scarf has also some cute details on it, like the tassels on the ends. Another thing I have noticed is that on the right side of the fabric (the correct side), the print is white with black skulls, but on the wrong side of the fabric the skulls look slightly navy blue, I must be mad to have noticed that but it's a detail which I found very pretty and I really loved it!

Nice size too, it's long and it can be worn around the neck, it's great because it's not too large so it hangs out pretty nicely too, not bulky.

shredded t shirt

belt by very

My second item is this cute studded belt. I am still grieving the loss of one of my favourite belts... Therefore, I thought this one was a perfect choice to cheer me up..

This skinny belt is great for any rock chick outfit, I love the small studded details on, which goes really well with my new wedges from the Love label too. Also ideal to wear with any jeans with small belt loops, which are so common in skinny jeans in particular.

If I am wearing a long skinny belt, like this one, which goes twice around jeans, for example, I like it to look modern yet practical whilst having the belt still doing it's job.

I don't feed all the belt thought the loops, I just feed the belt through the loops once and let the second loop hanging around my waist to create a slouchy chic look. Are you with me?

very.co.uk

Accessories are always a must! The more the merrier... in fact if they did have the scarf in different colours, I would be getting every single one of them!

Wearing today: T-shirt: Pretty Portobello Shop, Scarf, Belt & Shoes: Very.co.uk.

N.B. Very.co.uk sent me the scarf and the belt free of charge, I accepted the gifts on the understanding that if I could, if I so chose, write a unbiased review which is my own, unedited, opinion.

VERY cool post

Hi guys,

Today I am posting something VERY special!

I have already been a fan of Very.co.uk website for a while. Very stocks cool labels such as Love Label and collections like Ferne Cotton's, whose style we all adore. One happy morning, I was asked by Very.co.uk to review some products for them and I was really excited about it. Here is the first of 3 products I have chosen to review.

I just fell in love with these wedges straight away! These cool studded wedges are bang-on trend and are going to make me happy. They are so stylish and I can wear them for summer and winter too (avec socks), they will be pure rock and roll with skinny jeans and great too with tights and dresses, like I am wearing here.

Groove is the heart here with this whole vintage look. My mum, will certainly love these pictures more than anyone else, as this dress was hers originally from the 70's! Mum, is also a huge fan of head scarves and by now she is probably clapping her hands with a smile, thinking I look just like her! Teaming this whole vintage look with my new wedges from Love Label. I love how they do compliment this outfit beautifully.

I find it a little tricky to buy shoes online and therefore always read the reviews on the website about the item. I find this helpful when trying to choose which size to buy, it just gives me a slightly better idea but then I have to trust my own judgements really, difficult decisions.

So here, is my review:

As I said before, I love these shoes and I got loads of compliments when I was wearing them. The wedge style is stylish and always makes your legs look gorgeously long. They're also easy to wear and are very comfortable due the platform. They are also light, so you really can wear them for hours.

The shoes have a versatile style too, you can do 70's and flares, rock chick or just plain. Anything goes, leggings or shorts you can pick you style and go with them safely.

I wore them for a night out, after a whole day at work wearing them! I am the pickiest person about my shoes but I must say they felt amazingly comfortable. I found them to be the true size too, but if your feet are on a narrower side like mine, I believe you could get away with one size smaller.

At the moment these shoes are on sale reduced from £32 to a bargain £16! There's not what to love about them. Get yours before it goes. Trust me you won't be disappointed!

N.B. Very.co.uk sent me the shoes free of charge, I accepted the gifts on the understanding that if I could, if I so chose, write a unbiased review which is my own, unedited, opinion.

See you soon.
